In Their Own Words
I am collaborative, trauma-informed, and eclectic. I have experience in working with both acute and complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, couples/family issues with children, adolescents, and adults. It is my intention to provide a safe, gentle, culturally-sensitive, sex-positive, and LGBTQIA+ friendly environment and to provide clients with a sense of being fully known and witnessed. I integrate a parts-perspective, emotion-focused, Attachment and trauma-informed approach towards healing. I believe I work well with clients who appreciate humor, authenticity, adaptability, and honesty who are interested in parts-work, healing from long-term/chronic traumatic experiences, and feel stuck in emotional and relational patterns. My goal is to create a safe environment for you to feel the pain of the past and move forward more integrated and feeling like yourself again.
Can you envision a future where your challenges evolve into strengths? What does this version of yourself look like and how can I join in your journey to meeting that self?
I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist supervised by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
I believe the healing process begins when individuals feel heard, understood, and connected to others and their communities. My commitment is to offer warm understanding and connection to each client I am privileged to work with. Through curiosity and compassion, I strive to provide a safe space where authentic stories and deep connections to every aspect of oneself can be explored. I am dedicated to supporting individuals, adolescents, and couples on their path towards increased well-being, connection, and resilience.
I use an eclectic approach in my work because I strongly believe there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy. I have experience working with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relational challenges, and attachment wounds. I use methods from Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Mindfulness-based practices and I am also trained in Brainspotting (BSP) to flexibly meet your needs.
