Emotional Well-Being

Anxiety, Depression and Stress

A steady place to understand worry, low mood, and the stress that can make daily life feel harder.

Still water reflecting a soft Northern California dawn.

01

Slow Down What Feels Overwhelming

Anxiety, depression, and stress can affect emotions, relationships, attention, motivation, and the way daily experiences feel. Sometimes one concern stands out. At other times, worry, low mood, pressure, grief, trauma, relationship strain, or a transition overlap and become difficult to separate.

Counseling offers a place to slow down and describe what you have been noticing without needing to minimize it or explain it perfectly. Your therapist can help you understand patterns, emotional needs, and the situations that add strain while keeping your own goals at the center of the work.

More About This

Different therapists may bring different perspectives. Eva works with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relational concerns through parts-informed, emotion-focused, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approaches. Hanna supports stress, anxiety, depression, communication difficulties, and transitions through a collaborative, strengths-focused perspective.

Megan works with stress, emotional understanding, neurodivergence, relationships, grief, trauma, and questions of meaning. Her somatic training can bring attention to embodied self-awareness and regulation. Brianna supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, transitions, attachment, and adjustment to disability at the client's pace.

02

Care Without a Preset Definition

HOPE does not define success for you. Together, you and your therapist can identify what you want support with and what meaningful movement would look like in your life. Sessions may include conversation, emotional exploration, attention to relationships or body responses, and tools that fit the therapist and your goals.

You can begin by sharing a brief description of what has felt difficult and whether you prefer in-person counseling in Roseville or secure video while located in California. If choosing among therapists feels overwhelming, call or email us and we will help you find a good starting point.

03

How Counseling Looks at HOPE

Counseling at HOPE is collaborative and shaped around the person, couple, or family in the room. We do not begin with a preset definition of success. Instead, your therapist makes space for what matters to you, helps you identify personal goals, and works with your experiences and strengths. You can talk about what feels difficult, notice patterns, and decide together where to focus.

Our therapists bring different backgrounds and approaches to this work. Some draw from attachment-based, relational, psychodynamic, parts-informed, somatic, emotion-focused, or cognitive behavioral perspectives. Trauma-informed approaches available within the practice include EMDR, Brainspotting, and Trauma-Focused CBT. Work with children and families may also include play therapy and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. The approach used depends on the therapist, the client, and the goals you discuss together.

More About This

The relationship between client and therapist matters. Our team aims to offer a setting grounded in trust, collaboration, communication, and respect. You can ask questions, share what is or is not helpful, and move at a pace that respects where you are. Therapy can include honest conversation, attention to emotions and relationships, and practical ways of understanding what you are experiencing.

04

Your First Step

A first step does not require having everything figured out. You can read our therapist profiles, or call or email us and we will help you find a good starting point. If you have a therapist preference, let us know. If you do not, we can help identify a good starting point based on the concern, who will attend, the way you would like to meet, and any language preference.

HOPE offers counseling in person at our Roseville office and by secure video for clients who are located in California during the session. Wendy offers counseling in English and Spanish. A therapist will contact you within 48 hours, Monday through Friday. Before beginning, you can ask questions and learn what to expect so that the next step feels clear.
