In Their Own Words
Hi, I'm Megan Sullivan, a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee supervised by Wendy Barillas, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #133716. Before becoming a therapist, I spent twenty-five years as a teacher, and I am also a parent. These roles have shaped my understanding of development, resilience, and our deep need to be seen and supported. I believe in our innate movement toward health; toward wholeness. We are always reaching, even quietly, for our potential. That yearning is sacred. It's the part of you that knows there is more: more self-understanding, more connection, more possibility, and more deep breaths. I would consider it a great honor to walk alongside you as you take steps toward who you are growing into. I am invested in your growth while being deeply accepting of where you are right now. I'd love to hear your story, what you are healing, what you are building, and what you are growing toward. I hold space for challenge and complexity. I offer a growth-oriented approach rooted in compassion and curiosity.
I work with life transitions, grief and loss, crises of meaning or purpose, personal growth, relationships, parenting, stress, neurodivergence, emotional understanding, sexuality, cultural identity, trauma, and post-traumatic growth. I work with children, teens, individuals, couples, and families. My training in somatic therapy provides tools for embodied self-awareness and regulation, supporting your journey toward greater wholeness. If you sit with me, you'll find a dedicated space to explore all that you are and all that you're moving toward. I incorporate somatic therapy into my work with clients, which means we also tend to the body and how feelings and stress show up in it, bringing the whole of you into the therapy room. I am client-centered and relational in my approach. I believe in everyone's innate capacity towards wholeness and healing. I welcome you to reach out for a conversation to see if we're a good fit.
