About Sarah

Hi, I am a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor #15480. I am supervised by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe in the healing power of therapy and believe people can make real and lasting changes in the areas of their lives that they wish to. I have witnessed the transformative impact a therapeutic relationship, built upon trust and collaboration, can have on the lives of the clients I have been fortunate enough to work with. I recognize the vulnerability and trust it takes to choose therapy and I am honored to hold that therapeutic space for my clients. I am ready to meet you "where you are" along your journey and use my experience and the tools I have gained to best help you explore, learn, grow, and achieve the goals you have set for yourself.

I have worked with a diverse client population in many different settings. I am comfortable working with non-traditional family systems including individuals who identify as non-monogamous. I strive to create a therapeutic environment in which my clients feel heard and understood; an environment rich in collaboration, trust, and communication. I work eclectically to tailor my approach to fit the unique needs of each client while relying heavily on Psychodynamic influences. I draw from Parts Work and am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I place a heavy emphasis on rapport and the relationship between client and therapist as I believe this is the foundation that allows for exploration, growth, and change. I believe each client is the expert in his or her own life story and I am confident I can apply my skills and knowledge as a psychotherapist in benefit to your therapeutic journey.
